Rescuing Lives!

Shoes, shoes and more shoes The line of barefoot orphaned and vulnerable children was lingering outside the gate of our Childrens Home in Kampala last week as we gave out hundreds of pairs of shoes, the smiles and cheers of joy were almost as good as watching all the kids skipping back to their homes in a brand new pair of shoes, thanks to your support we have also been able to provide school uniforms and text books to over 150 vulnerable children. Currently Operation Uganda is caring for and providing school fees, uniforms, health care, and community support to over 250 vulnerable children. Saving Lives The past few weeks we have come across several babies in life threatening situations and in most cases close to death, with many mothers who are both single ladies and HIV positive lacking both the strength and finances to care for their babies we have become involved in rescuing these innocent and precious little lives. We are having to purchase more and more baby formula as the mothers are not able to breast feed their babys, baby formula is incredibly expensive here in Uganda and if you are interested in helping to save lives you can make a donation directly to assist us in purchasing baby formula. Building work The past month we have had two working teams here from the Snowy Mountains and also from Brisbane, both teams help renovate the toilet and shower block and the Kitchen of the Childrens Home making a huge difference to the place. We have plenty of slots available if you want to get team together and come across to Uganda to help in the work we do here. If youre interested in coming across email us at Uganda@operationuganda.com. Make a difference through child sponsorship We have 20 new Children waiting to be sponsored if you dont already sponsor a child now is the time to make a difference in a childs life today, if you do sponsor why dont you forward this email to some of your friends and encourage them to get involved in something life changing. Meet Jackson , he is a 5 year old orphan who has been living with his Aunty who has no capacity to provide care and education for Jackson, your sponsorship will not only ensure he can stay with his Auntie but also put him in school, buy school uniforms, books, provide health care and support for the household. There are 20 more children just like Jackson waiting to be sponsored on our website www.operationuganda.com. if you would like to donate to our work here in Uganda: Direct deposit: Bank: ANZ, Acc: Operation Uganda, BSB: 014263, ACC#: 499582133 (if you require tax deductibility it must be requested at time of donating) Credit card over the phone: 1300 795 303 - Mon/Wed/Fri Bless ya heaps,(Russ, Jen, Bec, Grace and Matty Barton.
